In 2016, three publishers (Eerdmans, Zondervan, and IVP) began pulling books authored by Peter O'Brien due to problematic documentation of secondary sources. Six books were identified. O'Brien, in response to one of the publisher's findings, admitted to and apologized for his unintentional plagiarism.
